REPORT OF AGWA ECCLESIA MEMORIAL SEASON CONVENTION
HELD ON SUNDAY, APRIL 3, 2010
Theme: “For we
being many are one bread, and one body; for we are all
partakers of the one bread”. 1Cor.10:17. (KJV).
The convention was attended by the representatives from
the following Ecclesias:
1.
Ibadan Ecclesia
2.
Lagos Ecclesia
3.
Onitsha Ecclesia
4.
Ohoba Ecclesia
5.
Obile Ecclesia
6.
Awarra Ecclesia
7.
Okpuala Ngwa Ecclesia
8. Aba 2 Ecclesia
9.
Udung Uko Ecclesia
10.
Oron City Ecclesia
11.
Okobo Ecclesia and
12.
Agwa Ecclesia the
host.
Abuja, Iquita and
Ihiagwa Ecclesias took permission.
The Convention was chaired in the morning section by
Bro. Vitalis Ekeh While Bro. Godwin Adiele was the
chairman of the afternoon section.
The following brethren also served:
1.
Bro. Boniface Obiukwu
gave a welcome discourse entitled “ Fight the
Good Fight of Faith”.
2.
Bro. Celestine Oledibe
discussed on “ Lessons from the Life of
Moses”.
3.
Bro. Lazarus Ukpai ‘s
discourse was on “ How to overcome Depression”
4.
Bro. Chuks Edward
topic was “Preaching to the spirits in
prison”.
5.
Bro. Maurice Uzor
talked on “Watch and Pray”
6.
Bro. Cajetan Egbu
lesson was on “ The Memorial Supper”
7.
Bro. Hen Bassey
conducted the Testimony meeting.
Testimonies given shall reach you soon.
8.
There was
Question meeting
with Bros Cajetan Egbu, Celestine Oledibe and Maurice
Uzor as panelists.
During the convention,
there was a meeting of the Nigeria Bible
Students General Convention Committee.
The Highlights of the meeting are:
a)
It was unanimously
agreed that the dates of the General Convention of
Nigeria Bible Students in 2011
shall be August 18 – 22.
Thursday August 18 shall be arrival while Monday August
22 shall be departure day. Friday 19 – Sunday 21 August
(3 days) shall be convention proper.
b)
It was also agreed
that each Ecclesia in Nigeria shall contribute a minimum
of Thirty Thousand naira (#30,000.00)
to assist for the convention expenses.
c)
It was decided that we
shall organize Nigeria Bible Students
Leadership ( servants) seminar in February, 2011.
Representatives of Ecclesias in Nigeria shall arrive on
February 17 and depart on February 21.
February 18 – 20
shall be for the seminar.
d)
All the Ecclesias in
Nigeria were encouraged to be holding their
class conventions
even though we are passing through hard economic
condition.
9.

Brethren from Agwa
Ecclesia expressed their thanks
to all that contributed in one way or the other for the
success of the convention. They pray that the
